OVERVIEW

David is a competitive storyteller – a trial lawyer. Over his two-decade career, he has tried cases to jury verdicts across Colorado in County, State and Federal Courts as lead trial counsel. David's practice emphasizes health care professional liability defense, particularly representing physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, and assisted living/long-term care professionals in lawsuits and before their respective licensing boards and credentialing entities. He is panel counsel for local and national professional liability insurers, provider entities and individuals. Beyond health care, David also has experience defending schools and manufacturers of motor vehicles and consumer products in personal injury and products liability matters. No matter what each case is about, David keeps focused on how the evidence and testimony developed will come together in the courtroom. This advances his clients' interests even when David's advocacy is in written form, and even when David's clients decide to benefit from his extensive experience negotiating resolutions short of trial.

Although he is competitive and devoted to vindicating his clients' interests, David is equally passionate about upholding the collegiality and professionalism of the practice of law. And he enjoys mentorship and sharing his skills and experience. Whenever he can, David accepts invitations to volunteer to teach trial advocacy techniques to practicing lawyers through the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and National Institutes of Trial Advocacy, to law students at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado, and by presenting seminars, continuing education and panel discussions to various audiences.
